Mastodon profiles let you list multiple links on them, and I wanted to include our status page, in case our site is down (and also to build trust). I tried adding one via the description, but the important rel=me part got stripped out. I guess it might be too much of a can of worms to support, but I thought I'd at least ask :)

I'm not sure what "rel=me" you are talking about ? there is no such things in updown.io status pages links
Adrien Rey-Jarthon Sorry I didn't explain it very well! Mastodon profiles let you add multiple links to your profile page, and you can verify that you control them by adding an HTML snippet. I tried doing this via the description, but some of the HTML was stripped out. Here's the specific pages and what I tried adding!
Profile: https://mastodon.social/@pgmustard
Status page: https://status.pgmustard.com/
HTML verification snippet:
Ok I see, well then indeed I don't see any better option at the moment. This validation clearly made it harder with the
rel="me"on purpose, in order to avoid validating public websites where you can just put links on and making sure it's a website you have full control over the html (which is not the case here).I guess you'll have to keep a non-validated link for this page.
