Hi, there's already a weekly email report with all you checks, but I guess you're talking about a public status page ? It'll probably be possible in the future to choose multiple checks to display on a public page.

Hello, any ETA on this?

Many thanks.

Yeah, I really need to be able to turn in monthly stats to my boss, and she prefers that they look "official" and arent something I've cooked up in excel.

Hello, development of this feature hasn't started yet but it is still planned.

You can use this in the meantime https://github.com/nya1/updown-status-page

Have a look at my mobile-optimized status page: https://status.abc.hexstream.xyz/

It's in the public domain so you can adapt it to your needs: https://github.com/Hexstream/status.abc.hexstream.xyz

Is there any development on this front ? The fact I have to choose between having one status page per domain or to self host a webpage which will ping your api is a deal breaker. If I make 10 pages, checking the global status in case of a downtime is unnecessarily hard. If I self host, then my status page might be down at the same time as my website. If my credits run out before you add the feature I'll have no reason not to use one of your competitors.

Not yet, this is at the top of the roadmap but I can't give any ETA, could be a couple months or a year. If you make a status page yourself it should not be hosted on the same servers of course, you could host it for free on github for example. Also checking the global status in case of downtime is easy from your dashboard as a user. Anyway feel free to go with one of our competitors if this is important for you right now.

This can't be overstated, you should be able to CRUSH around 80% of the low-end to middle-end website monitoring market once you have an official public status page with several checks option.

Same for us. We love the simplicity of your service and the transparent pricing model and prefer it over all competitors. But we need to roll out a public status page quite soon, and without an ETA within the next months we need to consider another alternative.

I would also LOVE this! I am sad though at the tone of some of these comments. I agree that you should be able to CRUSH the competition with this addition, but honestly, for this pricing model, there is already no way anyone offers both the central status page plus your level of tracking.... So I apologize on behalf of the threateners and wish them farewell while I patently await this amazing feature addition! =D

I spent 30 minutes and $0 and setup my own multi status page using the nya1's github project. It's simple, its easy, and it works great! Simply clone the project, edit the package_config.json, make a couple projects public, configure netlify, and you are DONE!

Thanks again updown.io!

I would add updown as a service status page on my website when it had a combined status page (so combining multiple checks like website, app, api, ...) showing one status (All Systems Operational with dropdown for the individual services) as a public page. Even better if it would including room for placing service notifications / or a possible twitter feed.

This is a great tool but will be more useful if there is a way to list multiple servers as a list.

Please do consider making his a priority.

Totally willing to pay more for it.

Thanks!

hey Adrien thanks for all your work on updown! Hands down my favorite uptime monitoring service.

Looking forward to this feature - can't think of anything I'd like to see more than this :)

Happy Holidays!

Amazing! Now you can finally compete directly with the big boys! (Once the feature is officially launched...)

I noticed that the 29 domain names on my status page (https://updown.io/p/1i1ig) are just ordered alphabetically, that doesn't make sense, for instance all my hexstreamsoft.com subdomains should definitely be grouped together.

I think it would be best if it was just possible to reorder the domains however we like via drag and drop.

Is it possible to put the new multi check page under our own domain?

@Hexstream Thanks, yes the sort order is for the moment the same as your account (like on your dashboard, follows the option you can choose on the top right). Customizable order will likely come soon once I find the UI I like.

@Ben about the own subdomain this is planned of course but not implemented yet :)

@Adrien Rey-Jarthon, any idea when the new statuspages can be used with a CNAME? I think the new statuspages are a great improvement for our users/visitors!

I can't give any date but I can tell you I already started working on the custom domain version :) it's gonna a be a bit different this time: there's gonna be an additional TXT record, this is to better support systems breaking CNAME records like CDNs and scales better without too much dependency on our DNS (the intermediary entry containing the token was a nice hack for simple setup but it's bad for caching ^^)

Jul 2021 update: the feature is now released for everyone to see! (and it supports custom domain now)

Checkout the announcement here: https://headwayapp.co/updown-changelog/multi-site-status-pages-200041

Here is the demo multi-site status page: https://demo.updown.io

For the record it is still possible to use our read-only API key to build truly custom status page or dashboard in javascript if you need something different.

Here are some example custom status page made by our users that you could start from:

https://github.com/nya1/updown-status-page

https://github.com/Hexstream/status.abc.hexstream.xyz

https://github.com/SocialGouv/dashlord

I think your super inexpensive and straightforward pricing model could really disrupt the industry!

2 thoughts:

1/ I understand that devolopping a full system, with API etc, is a big task. What about just having a simple 1-line text field, "About this page" or "See more", where we can put

  • some text

  • and a link a a full page on our servers with info regarding incidents, maintenance etc?

2/ Right now the status page show data for 1 month. Would be nice if we could select different durations for the whole page (or even better for each check): 2 months, 3, 6, 12 months... 1 month is a bit short to demonstrate SLA!

@Cilex about the simple "simple 1-line text field", well this is already the case there is a description field where you can put some text and links (which are auto-linked), as you can see in the example page here: https://demo.updown.io/ ("This is a demonstration...")

About the data shown for 1 month I suppose you are talking about the uptime percentage and Apdex score? By clicking on one website to access its individual status page it's possible to see up to 6 month history with the calendar view at the bottom. I may add some timeframe navigation later on, but anyway for the best customizability it's always possible to use our API to build you own status page the way you want it.

@Adrien I found/saw the Description filed right after asking my questions, and I forgot to come back and update my question. Doh! Sorry!

Will you add APIs to create/update these Status pages? I didn't find them in the doc... Creating a Check is OK, now we miss a way to create the status page for each client where we agregate multiple checks.

@Cilex yes definitely, I just waited a bit to see if I needed to change some of the basic structure before adding the API on top. This is tracked in this suggestion: https://updown.uservoice.com/forums/177972/suggestions/44618589. And it should arrive soon as I already started it.
