Since pulse checks doesn't have the apdex(0.5) bar timeline — there is a lot of white space around a thin uptime timeline. Making it a little difficult to see the red down markings. It looks a little frail next to a "regular" check; it is visible on the demo status page: https://demo.updown.io/
It currently has a height of 2 px, maybe it could be increased?

Thanks for the suggestion, for the record this is not only for pulse checks but also for uptime checks with ≥ 30min interval. Because with only 1 or 2 checks/h the hourly apdex charts gets too noisy and unreliable.
I agree this does not look great, I was hoping to find something else interesting to put in here that would look more consistent and helpful but have not found it so far ^^ so maybe increasing the size will be a good start as you said.
Aha, I don't have any checks with that long interval so I haven't noticed :) Seeing as there is 24 apdex bars, could each bar show the uptime in that hour? That would retain the visual look, and highlight any downtime. With a label like HOURLY instead of apdex(0.5).
Maybe a bit ambiguous that the bars is used for multiple things; but I feel the bars are very good at showing downtime, and much more visual than the timeline.
Indeed that sounds a bit too ambiguous to my liking ^^
Yeah, I'm confident you'll figure something out that makes sense :)
